Thus, it is essential to differentiate between the terms “electronic judicial process,” “digital court proceedings,” “judicial digitalization,” and “digital justice.” The term “judicial digitalization” refers to the provision of courts with computer resources and technologies that enable information processing. However, it does not fully elucidate the essence and procedure of conducting procedural actions in electronic form.

The existing paper provides a comparative analysis of the criminal legislation of Canada and Uzbekistan in terms of consideration of the mitigation of punishment and criminal defenses. In detail, the present research provides an overall overview of the mitigation of sentence institute in accordance with the existing editions of the Criminal Code of Canada and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the issues of determining the punishment for the criminal offences committed in a state of mental disorder, as well as insanity and diminished responsibility for incomplete offences and criminal complicity, including criminal defenses, institutions on the withdrawal (voluntary refusal) from the commission of an offence and innocent harm, etc. Pursuant to the results of the conducted analysis, similar and different sides of current criminal laws have been clarified. Decisions on the performed analysis and a final conclusion on the implementation of Canada‘s some criminal law norms to the criminal law of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been provided.

The article deals with the issues of international cooperation in providing legal assistance in the fight against corruption. In addition, this article is devoted to the interaction of law enforcement agencies in the fight against corruption within the framework of regional international organizations.Moreover, within the framework of this scientific study, proposals were analyzed to improve the system of providing legal assistance in the field of combating corruption.The author‘s comparative analysis of international conventions, declarations and legislation of foreign countries served as a reflection of the specifics of this article. Moreover, the relevance of the research topic is because the commission of such crimes is characterized by the use of modern technical means and high-tech facilities of air and land transport, a high transcontinental level of organization and real support from many, including illegal, financial sources. The predicted result of such activities was a significant increase in the number of serious crimes of a transnational nature. The lack of proper legal cooperation between states leads to the emergence and spread of a dangerous practice, when criminals, committing a crime in one state, illegally cross the borders of another to avoid the administration of justice and prosecution. The problem of disclosure, investigation, and prevention of such crimes in the framework of international cooperation in criminal matters is the most relevant today.

Dispute resolution in the field of intellectual property law in Uzbekistan

This article discusses ongoing reforms in the field of intellectual property protection in Uzbekistan. In particular, the issues of administrative responsibility for violation of intellectual property rights, the process of judicial protection are covered. Opinions were also expressed on the procedure for resolving disputes in the field of intellectual property by administrative, civil and criminal courts. At the same time, based on the types of intellectual property objects (industrial property objects, means of individualization, copyright), the features of resolving conflict situations related to them are revealed. Based on the results of the article, the author concluded that it is necessary to specialize courts in resolving disputes in the field of intellectual property, expand the mechanisms of alternative ways of resolving disputes in the field of intellectual property, and improve the system of enforcement of judgments on intellectual property.
