Introduction. In the context of globalization and rapid technological development, foreign language proficiency has become an essential skill for individuals in both academic and professional fields. Traditional teaching approaches, such as grammar-translation and rote memorization, are increasingly considered ineffective in developing communicative competence. Modern learners require dynamic, interactive, and studentcentered learning environments that foster real-life communication skills. As a result, the integration of innovative teaching methods and modern pedagogical technologies has become a key priority in contemporary education systems. For example, recent studies focus on: -digital learning environments; -mobile-assisted language learning (MALL); -artificial intelligence in education. These studies confirm that technology enhances engagement and learning outcomes. There are some theoretical foundations in the following: 1. Constructivism. Learning is an active process where learners build knowledge through experiences. Teachers act as facilitators rather than knowledge transmitters. 2. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). CLT focuses on reallife communication. It prioritizes fluency over accuracy and encourages interaction.It allows individuals to convey meaning, interpret messages, and achieve goals through four key components: grammatical, sociolinguistic, discourse, and strategic competence. 3. Sociocultural Theory. Language learning occurs through social interaction. Collaboration and communication are essential components. 4. Student-Centered Approach. This approach shifts focus from teacher to learner, promoting autonomy and active participation. Innovative Methods in Foreign Language Teaching 1. Task-Based Learning (TBL). Students complete real-world tasks such as planning trips, solving problems and conducting interviews. This enhances practical language use. 2. Project-Based Learning (PBL). Students work on long-term projects, integrating language skills with critical thinking. 3. Role Play and Simulation. Learners practice real-life scenarios, improving fluency and confidence. 4. However, effectiveness depends on teacher competence, proper implementation, availability of resources. Challenges in Implementation of modern technology in teaching foreign languages: 1. Technological Barriers. -limited access to devices -poor internet connectivity These technologies are an integral part of a lesson. Thus, those barriers may result in poor teaching process. 2. Teacher Preparedness. The first problem with teachers is lack of training. Some teachers have a traditional way of teaching skills, and they just explain some grammar rules lightly and make students to make a sentence. Reading a text and translating it. In this case, teachers will not have enough preparation for the lessons which effects their teaching qualification. The next problem is resistance to change. Teachers may have a great innovative idea to teach foreign languages and they may implement it with students, but they are not patient enough to wait long period.
