Unda intellektual repetitorlik tizimlari, chatbotlar, tabiiy tilni qayta ishlash texnologiyalari va shaxsiylashtirilgan o‘quv platformalari kabi SI asosidagi vositalar tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqot natijalari SI moslashuvchan ta‘lim, tezkor fikrmulohaza va o‘quvchilar motivatsiyasini oshirish orqali til o‘rganishni yaxshilashini ko‘rsatadi. Shu bilan birga, SIdan samarali foydalanish axloqiy masalalar, ma‘lumotlar maxfiyligi hamda texnologiya va an‘anaviy o‘qitish metodlari o‘rtasidagi muvozanatga e‘tibor qaratishni talab etadi.

It discusses AI-based tools such as intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, natural language processing, and personalized learning platforms. The study shows that AI improves language learning by providing adaptive education, instant feedback, and increased learner motivation. However, effective use of AI requires attention to ethical issues, data privacy, and the balance between technology and traditional teaching methods. Анализируются такие инструменты на основе ИИ, как интеллектуальные обучающие системы, чат-боты, технологии обработки естественного языка и персонализированные образовательные платформы. Исследование показывает, что ИИ улучшает изучение языка за счёт адаптивного обучения, мгновенной обратной связи и повышения мотивации

обучающихся. Вместе с тем эффективное использование ИИ требует внимания к этическим вопросам, конфиденциальности данных и балансу между технологиями и традиционными методами обучения. INTRODUCTION Artificial Intelligence is one of the most important technological innovations of the modern era, significantly influencing different aspects of human life, including education, healthcare, business, science, and communication. Artificial Intelligence generally refers to computer systems and technologies that are capable of performing tasks that usually require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, decision-making, speech recognition, and language understanding. AI technologies are designed to imitate human cognitive abilities and improve their performance through continuous data processing and machine learning. Today, AI has become an essential part of digital transformation, creating new opportunities for more efficient, personalized, and interactive educational experiences. MATERIALS AND METHODS The concept of Artificial Intelligence first appeared in the mid-20th century. The term “Artificial Intelligence” was officially introduced by the American computer scientist John McCarthy in 1956 during the Dartmouth Conference, which is considered the starting point of AI as a scientific field. Early AI research mainly focused on developing machines capable of solving mathematical problems and simulating human reasoning processes. During the following decades, AI technologies gradually evolved due to advancements in computer science, data analysis, and programming systems. In the 21st century, the rapid growth of the internet, cloud computing, and big data technologies accelerated the development of AI applications, making them more accessible and practical in everyday life [1]. Modern Artificial Intelligence includes several important branches such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, neural networks, and computer vision. Machine learning enables systems to learn from data and improve performance without explicit programming, while natural language processing allows computers to understand and generate human language. These technologies are widely used in applications such as virtual assistants, translation programs, recommendation systems, chatbots, and educational platforms. AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly, Duolingo, and intelligent tutoring systems demonstrate how Artificial Intelligence can support communication, language learning, and academic development. The development of AI has significantly influenced the educational sector, especially in the field of language teaching and learning. Traditional educational approaches often provide the same learning materials and teaching pace for all students, regardless of their individual needs and abilities. In contrast, AI technologies create opportunities for personalized and adaptive learning environments. Through intelligent educational systems, students can receive immediate feedback, practice language skills independently, and access learning materials tailored to their proficiency levels. Teachers can also use AI tools to automate assessment processes, monitor students’ progress, and design more interactive classroom activities [2]. RESULTS

AI technologies contribute to increasing student motivation and engagement in learning. Many students feel more comfortable practicing language skills through AI-based applications because these tools allow them to learn without fear of criticism or embarrassment. Conversational chatbots and virtual assistants simulate real-life communication situations, helping learners improve speaking and writing fluency. AI also supports autonomous learning by giving students access to educational resources anytime and anywhere. As a result, learners become more independent and responsible for their own academic progress. Overall, the development of Artificial Intelligence has transformed education by introducing more flexible, efficient, and student-centered learning opportunities. AI technologies continue to evolve rapidly, and their role in language education is becoming increasingly significant. Understanding the concept and development of Artificial Intelligence is essential for analyzing its impact on teaching English as a Foreign Language and evaluating its effectiveness in modern educational environments. One of the most widely used categories of AI tools in education is Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS). These systems are designed to simulate the role of a human tutor by providing personalized instruction and guidance based on students’ learning progress and performance. Intelligent tutoring systems analyze learners’ strengths, weaknesses, mistakes, and learning speed in order to deliver suitable exercises and explanations. Such systems allow students to work independently while receiving individualized feedback and support. Researchers emphasize that intelligent tutoring technologies can significantly improve students’ academic performance, motivation, and self-confidence because they create adaptive learning environments tailored to individual needs [3]. Another important type of AI tool used in education is Natural Language Processing-based applications. Natural Language Processing enables computers to understand, interpret, and generate human language. NLP technologies are particularly valuable in language learning because they support grammar correction, translation, text generation, pronunciation analysis, and conversational interaction. AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT and Grammarly are examples of NLP-based educational tools that help learners improve writing accuracy, vocabulary usage, and communication skills. Grammarly assists students by detecting grammatical mistakes, punctuation errors, and stylistic issues in written texts, while conversational AI systems such as ChatGPT provide explanations, answer questions, generate ideas, and simulate real-life communication. These tools encourage students to practice English more actively and independently. Another significant category includes AI-based language learning applications such as Duolingo, Babbel, Elsa Speak, and Memrise. These applications use machine learning algorithms and gamification techniques to personalize learning materials and increase student engagement. Duolingo, for example, analyzes learners’ progress and automatically adjusts lesson difficulty according to their performance. Elsa Speak uses speech recognition technology to help students improve pronunciation and speaking accuracy by identifying pronunciation errors and providing corrective feedback. Such applications make language learning more accessible, flexible, and interactive because students can practice anytime and anywhere through mobile devices or computers [4]. DISCUSSION Artificial Intelligence plays a particularly important role in teaching and learning English as a Foreign Language. English has become the dominant international language used in science,

technology, business, tourism, diplomacy, and higher education. Consequently, millions of learners around the world study English in order to improve academic, professional, and social opportunities. However, learning a foreign language is often a challenging and time-consuming process that requires continuous practice, feedback, motivation, and communication. AI technologies help overcome many of these difficulties by offering learners personalized educational experiences and access to learning materials anytime and anywhere. One of the most significant contributions of AI to modern language learning is the development of personalized learning environments. Traditional classrooms usually follow a standardized curriculum where all students receive the same instruction regardless of their learning speed, strengths, weaknesses, or individual preferences. In contrast, AI-powered educational systems can analyze students’ performance, learning behavior, and progress in real time and then adapt learning activities according to their individual needs. Intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and AI-based language applications provide customized exercises, feedback, and recommendations that help students learn more effectively. This personalized approach increases learning efficiency because students can focus on areas where they experience difficulties while progressing at their own pace [5]. Another important role of AI in language learning is increasing learner motivation and engagement. Many students experience anxiety, fear of making mistakes, or lack of confidence while learning a foreign language in traditional classrooms. AI technologies create a more supportive and stress-free learning environment where students can practice independently without fear of criticism or embarrassment. Conversational chatbots and virtual assistants simulate reallife communication situations, allowing learners to engage in interactive dialogues and improve speaking fluency. Gamified learning applications such as Duolingo use rewards, levels, points, and challenges to make language learning more enjoyable and motivating. Researchers note that AI-supported gamification significantly increases student participation and encourages continuous learning [6]. AI-powered virtual environments allow learners to practice English in realistic situations such as job interviews, travel conversations, business meetings, and academic discussions. These immersive technologies help students develop practical communication skills and cultural awareness by exposing them to authentic language use. Such experiences are often difficult to create in traditional classroom settings but become more achievable through AI-supported educational platforms. CONCLUSION Overall, Artificial Intelligence has transformed modern language learning from a traditional teacher-centered process into a dynamic, student-centered, and technology-supported educational experience. Its ability to personalize instruction, facilitate communication, support autonomous learning, and improve educational accessibility demonstrates its growing importance in English as a Foreign Language education. However, successful integration of AI into language learning requires balanced, ethical, and pedagogically appropriate implementation that combines technological innovation with human interaction and educational values.
